MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City 5th District Rep. Alfred Vargas on Saturday said he tested positive for COVID-19.
Vargas, however, said he is asymptomatic.

“I had just tested positive for COVID-19, a difficult and worrying reality that tens of thousands of our fellow Filipinos had to face this week,” Vargas said in a statement.
“We are following all prescribed safety protocols and I continue my work from my isolation station to ensure that our services to our constituents will not be disrupted,” he added.
