Moving to the new AM5 platform, AMD has changed over from PGA to LGA. And now the top CPU need something great to go with them. So what is the best GPU for Ryzen 9 7900X & 7950X?
The new line of CPUs utilize TSMCs 5nm process. Creating a die size of 2x 70mm² in the chiplet design. Which itself holds 13.4 billion transistors throughout the die.
They differ in price and specs. The 7950X features 16 cores and 32 threads with a TDP of 170W at a price of $699. Whilst the 7900X has 12 cores and 24 threads with a TDP of 170W and an MSRP of $549.

Now for the absolute, no-contest pick for the top-of-the-line graphics card is the RTX 4090. The card is in the newest RTX 4000 series generation of graphics cards from Nvidia.
The AD102-300 GPU variant is the top-of-the-line card released in October of 2022. Although it might be a bit expensive for most users coming in at an MSRP of $1,599.

Now for a bit lower price, there is an AMD alternative to consider. From the last generation, there is an RX 6900 XT that has an MSRP of $999, but at this point, you can likely find it for a lower price.
Coming out in December 2020, it was part of the RDNA 2 core lineup. And can still perform well all the way up to 4k and has plenty of great software support.
It comes with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, with 5,120 shaders and 80 RT cores. These are clocked in at 1,825 MHz, with a game clock of 2,015 MHz and a boost clock of 2,250 MHz. It only has a TDP of 300W and can work well alongside an AMD CPU.
