A wizard in two Hogwarts houses at once – is it possible?

The best thing about Hogwarts Legacy is creating your own Avatar for what lies ahead in the Wizarding World. The next best thing, however, is going through the anxiety-inducing Sorting Hat, which determines and sorts Wizards and Witches in different Houses of Hogwarts.
In your first venture into the wizarding world, you wouldn’t want to make the grave mistake of picking the wrong House. However, if you mistakenly got into a House that is not to your liking, then your only solution would be getting sorted into another Hogwarts House. In this guide, we’ll discuss the possibility of a student housing two different Houses in Hogwarts Legacy.
Is it possible to be in two different Hogwarts Houses?
Unfortunately, players can’t get sorted into two houses and live in both in Hogwarts Legacy at the same time. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has four different Houses — Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff, and the sorting ritual starts at the start of every school year. Once the Sorting Hat issues its decree, students can’t appeal against it.
While the Sorting Hat determines a student’s House based on their personality and traits in the movies, Hogwarts Legacy players, on the other hand, get a free hand in choosing their character’s traits and thus their preferred House at the start of the game.
After going through the preliminary tutorials and eventually reaching Hogwarts in the game, your first task at hand is choosing your House. With the Sorting Hat on top of your head, you’ll have to choose among four options, each leading to a different house.
Even though you get to pick your own House, choosing the wrong one will ultimately lead to you spending your remaining school years in a dormitory you don’t like.
Can you change Hogwarts House in Hogwarts Legacy?
Similarly, players don’t get an extra chance to change their Hogwarts House in Hogwarts Legacy. However, If you’re thinking of linking your fan club account with your WB account after the sorting ceremony to change your House, then it’s meaningless.
Simply put, once you’ve chosen Slytherin in Hogwarts Legacy, you can’t add your fan page’s Ravenclaw house to Hogwarts Legacy. However, if the sorting ceremony hasn’t commenced yet, you can actually carry over your house from your fan club account. To be frank, this is also a more intimate way of getting sorted into Hogwarts Legacy’s houses.
After all, you tread lightly between the 28 questions in the fan page, which would determine not only your House but your Wand as well.
Starting over with a new character is the only way to ‘change’ house. There are 4 separate character slots available, so one for each house if you wish.
Final thoughts
At first glance, Hogwarts Houses don’t serve many purposes in Hogwarts Legacy’s narrative. However, some quests and dialogues in Hogwarts Legacy are locked behind houses. Thus answering why players want to know if they can be in two different houses in Hogwarts Legacy.
