Bengaluru FC vs Mumbai City FC Live: BFC 1-1 MCFC, Bipin Singh cancels out Javi Hernandez’s opener in first half, Bengaluru FC look for breakthrough – Follow ISL 2023 LIVE

Bengaluru FC are currently leading the tie 2-1 and looked like a team with no fear right from the start, as they had the backing of the home fans. They attacked well, creating a few good chances, but Mumbai City FC did not hold back and played on the counter. However, the visitors got the first real chance of scoring as they were awarded a penalty, but Greg Stewart missed it. Then, to pour salt in the wounds, Javier Hernandez headed it home for BFC and took the lead.

After that, MCFC got into their groove and attacked way more, getting their reward as well when Bipin Singh found the equalizer. Then, Vignesh Dakshinamurthy tried something special, but he was denied by the crossbar. Both sides continued playing attacking football, trying to put pressure on each other, but none could get any more goals.

Gurpreet Sandhu made amends after giving up a penalty. In the centre of the field, Rowllin Borges receives the ball and passes it to Bipin Singh just outside the penalty area. Singh then sprints forward and turns the ball over to Lallianzuala Chhangte on the right side. As the ball travels towards the goalkeeper, Aleksandar Jovanovic challenges Bipin Singh inside the area, but Jorge Diaz just manages to get to it first, and Gurpreet Sandhu mistimes his challenge and pulls him down.

The crowd here erupts in jubilation when BFC takes the lead. Siva Narayanan receives the ball on the left wing, cuts inside while faking a cross with his right foot, and then kicks the ball with his left foot. Without a defender in tow, Javier Hernandez attacks it and comfortably heads it into the goal.

Just inside the box, Rahul Bheke delivers a fantastic cross from the right wing; Sandesh Jhingan misses with his header, and Bipin Singh chests it down for Rowllin Borges, who shoots but Gurpreet Sandhu saves it well. Bipin Singh, though, slides the ball into the back of an open net after it bounces up within the box.

After BFC edged the 1st Leg 1-0, MCFC has come roaring back to take the 2nd Leg 2-1 and level the tie across the two legs. The scores were level 1-1 at half time and both teams went toe-to-toe in the next 45 minutes. MCFC had more of the ball and did create a lot of chances in the second half.
