The pair will take on England’s England’s Rory Easton and Zach Russ in the Round of 16. In another match, the men’s doubles pair of Krishna Prasad Garaga-Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala will be up for a major challenge against second-seeded Kim Astrup Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark.

Srikanth eased past World No.21 Lu Guang Zu of China in the men’s single match on Wednesday. The CWG 2022 bronze medallist moved to the next round with a comfortable 15-21, 21-14, 21-13 victory. The Guntur-shuttler will face World No. 43, Arnaud Merkle, on Thursday.

In the women’s singles, rising Indian shuttlers Aakarshi Kashyap and Malvika Bansod will be in action on Thursday. Kashyap defeated France’s LeOnice Huet 21-11, 12-21, 21-7 in the previous round. She will be up against unseeded Danish shuttler Line Kjaersfeldt on Thursday. However, Bansod, will be up for a real challenge as she takes on seventh-seeded Kirsty Gilmour of Scotland in the Round of 16.

The Indian sister pair of Rutuparna and Swetparna will face the Taiwanese pair of Xu Ling Fang and Lin Wan Ching in the Women’s doubles Round of 16 clash.

Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand will be in action in the women’s double Round of 16 match. The pair defeated Linda Efler/Isabel Lohau 21-18, 21-15 in the previous round.
