CITY OF CALAPAN – A 21-year-old man drowned in a resort pool in Baco, Oriental Mindoro on Good Friday, the local police reported on Saturday.
Police identified the fatality as Alexis Trillana, a guest at the Kambal Bato Resort in Barangay (village) San Ignacio.
Trillana’s girlfriend said he was in the pool but was later found submerged.
His companions and other guests retrieved his body and tried to revive him.
Trillana was later brought to Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital where he was declared dead.
