The Radeon RDNA 3 family has been announced and the competitor to the RTX 4090 is revealed. It is showing itself to be a good contender for the best graphics card to pick from.
The previous gen was a good move forward for team Red. With a good selection of Radeon graphics cards that improved its offering to bring the fight closer to the Nvidia favorite.
And so now pushing its selection further it shows it can offer a better alternative. As Nvidia pushes power and price, AMD is offering a lower price and TBP. Which has become a much more important subject these days.
With that, we look toward what it is said to bring and we look forward to getting hands-on with it.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX release date
Now the stream has happened, it has been announced the RX 7900 XTX is coming on the 13th of December 2022.
This does mean having to wait over a month from the announcement to actually get hands-on with the cards. Which is a long time to wait for what can be good competition in the GPU market.
It also means both cards will come after both Nvidia GPUs. Although they are more expensive and hard to find they can be detrimental to the AMDs market share.
However, there is a lot of interest in affordability and efficiency. So the cheaper price, lower TBP, and good price to performance means it can still stand a chance.
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX specification rumors
From its announcement, we have some basic specifications of the card. It will contain 96 CUs, running at 2.3 GHz, with 24 GB of GDDR6 with a 364-bit bus, at a 355 W board power. And will support 2.1 DisplayPort and AV1 encode and decode.
Following on from the brief announcement the fuller specifications have been revealed. The base frequency in fact reaches 1.9 GHz, with the boost going up to 2.5 GHz, whilst the game frequency averages at 2.3 GHz.
The die features 96 ray accelerators, 192 ROPs, 6,144 stream processors, and 384 texture units. It is made up of 58 billion transistors for its 6 shader engines. These will reach a peak half precision performance of 123 TFLOPs and a single precision of up to 61 TFLOPs.
It is in fact supported by a 96 MB infinity cache. And the 24 GB of GDDR6 is clocked at 20 Gbps to produce up to 960 GB/s of bandwidth. And lastly, the reference card will in fact only require 2x 8-pin power connectors. The card will also only measure in at a length of 287 mm and a 2.5-slot thickness.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX price
The price of the card has also been confirmed and it is very competitive. The flagship RX 7900 XTX will cost only $999.
It is a very competitive price for AMD to set against its competition. It comes in $600 less than the RTX 4090. And so if the performance is to follow it can be a great opportunity for it to shine.
This can be a good opportunity for great performance per watt or dollar. An increasingly important factor these days and so we have to see what the performance is going to be and if it matches up.
RX 7000 series expected lineup
Before the main launch, we don’t have much info on what to expect to come out of it. However, we can speculate on those and assume that AMD will continue the previous trend. So you can check those out for what they are expected to offer.
