Realme is apparently expanding its GT series with the new Realme GT Neo 5 Lite. Last month, the company released the GT Neo 5 in China, also known as the Realme GT3 globally. The new GT Neo 5 is a great smartphone, and the GT Neo 5 Lite will be a toned-down version of it with a lower price point.

Realme GT Neo 5 Lite release date history
Realme doesn’t really follow any specific release windows for the GT Neo series. The first GT Neo smartphone arrived in March 2021, and the GT Neo 2 arrived later the same year in September. Realme launched the GT Neo 3 in March 2022.
As expected, following the release of last year’s GT Neo 3, Realme launched the GT Neo 5 in late February. However, this is the first Lite version in the GT Neo series.

However, we are still trying to figure out the launch date of this new Realme smartphone. We are sure it will be sometime in 2023. Recent rumors suggest a July launch date, but we cannot confirm it now. We suggest keeping your eye on our page; we will update it as soon as we receive more information.

We may not have a release date for the Realme GT Neo 5 Lite, but we know a few details about upcoming smartphone specs.
- Display: The Realme GT Neo 5 Lite is tipped to have a 6.74-inch AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. It is also going to have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
- CPU: The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset or a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1.
- Camera: In light of the 50 MP primary camera of the GT Neo 5, the Neo 5 Lite variant is expected to have a 64 MP primary camera with a still unannounced Omnivision OV64M sensor. The reports suggest the smartphone will also have a low-resolution 8MP sensor which will likely act as the ultra-wide camera. The GT Neo 5 Lite will also have a 16MP selfie cam.
- Battery: The 240W SuperVOOC charging speed of the Realme GT Neo 5 has everyone excited, but we won’t see it on the Lite version. The GT Neo 5 Lie may get a 100W charging speed and a 5,500 mAh battery.
